Ok, so I'm now level 5 and ready to take on the world, I've been helping my brothers fight some Troggs and stuff, we're gonna reclaim that Gnomeregan back one day! I'm in the big city of Ironforge, got my 5s 56c from questing and selling all drops, so what shall we invest it in? Well as I'm sure you know we have no clue what the market is like, this is a new server after all. We need some data first so I'm gonna rock on down to Auctioneer Buckler open the AH window and click the awesome getall fast scan button.

A minute or so later, auctioneer will chat spam you to confirm the scan is done and you now have a snapshot of all auctions currently for sale in your database!

So, can we now invest our hard earned trogg killing bounty in some items? Possibly, but it wouldn't be wise, our auction house snapshot only covers one point in time, we should really wait for a few more before making informed decisions, after all, this was hard earnt copper, we don't want to just throw it away.

I'd say a week's worth of data is sufficient, I'm going to come back and scan the auction house at least once a day and work on levelling to 10 in the meantime.

My name is Foofiecake, I've been created for one soul purpose, let me explain. It started, like many good things in life as a friendly challenge, is it really possible to make something from nothing? I should hope so or this wouldn't make too much of a good blog! The challenge is to reach 10,000 gold with a newly created character on a fresh server, there are some rules:-

• You must have only 1 character on the server and this character cannot pass level 10.
• You cannot have any professions at all.
• You cannot, of course accept outside help!
